From Ancestral File (TM), data as of 5 JAN 1998.spouse: >Norvell, Sarah (~1678 - )George Baskerville (d after 1747) was the son of John Baskerville and Mary Barber. In 1704 he was tithed for 350A in York Co VA...there were no other Baskervilles listed in VA. Children of George Baskerville and Sarah Norvell were: George (d 1777 Mecklenburg Co VA) m Martha Minge Norvell (d 1750 Cumberland Co VA) Hugh Sarah John
The age of George's death is shown as him being 13, but i think that is a 'typo' and his age at death was 73, not 13. 1 can look like 7 -after a few hundred years!spouse: >?, Elizabeth (*1689 - )The MI's for Winterborn churchyard show this event.
George Baskerville (d 1777 Mecklenburg Co VA) was the son of George Baskerville and Sarah Norvell. On 29Nov1714 George Baskerville of Bruton Parish in York Co VA sold 250A formerly belonging to John Baskerville, "grandfather of said George Baskerville". In 1742 he and his brother Norvell lived in Charles City Co VA. Norvell made his will 9Jan1750 in Cumberland Co VA, leaving his estate to his brother George: George was living in Cumberland Co in 1752 when he purchased 267A in Lunenburg Co VA. On 1Nov1753 at Lunenburg Co VA he witnessed the prenuptual agreement between his mother-in-law Mary Allen and Field Jefferson. In 1757 he patented 82A at Miles Creek in Lunenburg Co, and in 1772 he purchased another 404A at Miles Creek. On 26Jan1777 he and his wife Martha witnessed the will of Hutchins Burton in Mecklenburg Co VA.
